Save the date. Auction beating for Corrado Veneziano, next Thursday 22 October, 2020

By Jessica Martino

Corrado Veneziano, had the personal honor and artistic satisfaction of being chosen in 2019 for the official French program on the celebrations of the 500th anniversary of Leonardo’s death, the event sponsored by the Presidency of the French Republic and carried out in partnership with, among other organizations, the Louvre Museum in Paris.

But nothing comes by chance, without preparation and hard work behind it.

I have read
the Codex Atlanticus
in its entirety.
And Leonardo's
most visionary designs
have become the basis
of my works:
modern, elegant,
all projected towards
the sky,
the universe,
the infinite.

- Corrado Veneziano

In 2018, Veneziano focuses all his energies, his dedication and attention on Leonardo Da Vinci and his Codex Atlanticus, whose passionate and meticulous study has paid off in terms of inspiration for the realization of the 30 works inspired by Leonardo’ sketches.

A work that also brings him to Palazzo Chigi, on March 13, 2019, to illustrate his project on the inaugural day of the Italian celebrations on Leonardo, in the presence of the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Undersecretary for Cultural Heritage.

The project soon becomes a “Leonardo Atlantico” exhibition

from France, passing through Italy (at the Astronomical Observatory of Florence, in collaboration with INAF; in Matera, with the patronage of Mibac, in the Ridola National Museum; in Milan, in the Crypt of San Sepolcro of the Ambrosiana Library)… to Tunis where the 30 canvases were hosted in the Institute of Culture in Tunis, in agreement with the Italian Embassy and with the patronage and support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
